Part 1 of the promised duct tape dummy tutorial I promised way back this summer.. Part to will come here soon.. I got re-stuff Inkys dummy, and I want to get some better pic when I do that, as the one took I'm not to happy with.. but this should get you started.
What you will need
1. a crappy shirt you will won't care if you never see it again... not too lose fitting though, you do not want a lot of fabric bunching up on you, and making weird lumps under the Duct tape.
2. at least 2 rolls of Duct tape... Depending on how much of a dummy you plan on making, and how tall/ big you are, it might take more.. (You don't have to get the highest grad stuff, but please don't get the very cheapest type.. it will start peeling and not hold up as well)
3. plastic food wrap or a plastic bag. 4. some one you trust to wrap you up in Duct tape, and not wrap the stuff so tight it squeezes the life out of you.
A few tip that will make the whole thing go smoother... Sis and I made ours at the start of a very hot summer.. we were not in air conditioning when we were make them..... she sweated too much, so I had to wait a few day till I could stuff hers, the shirt she wore was soaked. And were both very uncomfortable. (Hence that look on my face) If you are claustrophobic, I'd take that in to account to... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now for a few thing on why it took me so long to get it up.. (Time was one issue, but that wasn't the real reason..) In the course of making this, I discovered I had a bit more of a curve/twist in my back then I thought was right. It will be pretty obvious when you look at the pic, and that really had me for a loop. I had made this cause I was have fitting issue with my work as of late, and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Well.. Seems I have scoliosis. not to go to much deeper in to it, but now I have to go back once a year and get x-rays to make sure it hasn't gotten worse.. So, there. didn't want to post this till after I knew what the heck was up, and then took me a bit to settle in to the diagnosis. No big deal now that I know, so don't make a fuss over it..
Ooo, nifty! Thanks for the tutorial! I've been wanting to make one of these for a while, but haven't really been sure exactly how best to go about it. (^_^)
