Halloween 2008 costume.. The ax was made by my wonderful sister
 .. And no, it's not real metal.. It bondo, some sorta fiberglass board and wood... Painted up real nice, with leather wrapped around the handle. Isn't she cleaver? She also did my makeup.  She does so much better then I do.. Must be her steady art hand!Every thing else was made by me. I used a MCall's pattern for the skirt, but modified it a lot (the original patter only came down to just above the knees, and was a lot narrower.) The top was a Vogue dress pattern I cut off and made in to a separate top.. and the over skirt thing I just draped.. You can't see it, but I have a rather large starched petticoat up the skirt to give it more body... Comments

 OMG you look awesome! I love the makeup, it enhances your expression. And the dress is beautiful.
Black, red, and white are some of my favorite colors together too.-- Psycho Delicate Art And more  Well, what's the point of using patterns if you can't change, alter and abuse them to get just the look you like? I'd say it worked perfectly.

You look fantastic! You look terrifying! Excelent job on the dress and tell your sister amazing job on the axe and makeup...stupendous job, both of you! I wish I could have gotten pictures of my costume but...the camera ran out of batteries and...well I didnt have anymore and it was too late to go to the store by the time we realized this...oh well there's always next year  .
