Eowyn by FrockTarts Eowyn by FrockTarts
My Eowyn green gown, made to pair with my sisters Grima. All in all, I'm happy with how this came out, considering how much trouble I had with it. First, I managed to get a pattern that was later found to have HUGE design flaws, which took me forever to fix, (And I have to send thank to the ladies a the Allycat LOTRs costume web site for helping me there! Girls, you rock!) Then I had a hell of a time find a lining that I like for the dress.... I couldn't find *anything* that match what was in the movie. And last, never having sewn with silk velvet before, I was slipping and sliding all over the place! But I still love this dress, and I think I captured the look well.

Eowyn was always my favorite female in the LOTR series. I loved her in the movies and in the books and I love this dress! Velvet is ridiculously slippery and a huge pain to work with, but it looks like you did a great job. I think my absolute favorite part is the trim on the collars of the neck and chest/shoulder. :)
